Chapter 60

So i have definitely heard all about the missions being opened up!!!! That's soooo crazy that we are going to be having that many new missions! XD  And my guess is that you guys will now be part of the Irvine Mission, since it's only like 5-10 min away hahahaha XD.

Things weren't alot better for us this week than last week.  First off, we have a baptism that is going to be happening on Saturday and when we reviewed the baptismal questions with her to help her get ready for her interview she was able to answer all of the questions with ease and was able to remember everything that we taught her perfectly.  I can't wait for her baptism to happen XD.  Another awesome thing that happend this week is one of the people that we have been visiting, he isn't a member and his wife is a member who just got reactivated a little less than a year ago and is super active now, just came to church for the first time this week!!!! He is slowly progressing and we are hoping in the next couple of weeks he will get to the point where he will want to start taking the missionary discussions XD.  Things are going really well here and it's so awesome to see how much our heavenly father is helping us out in our work.  His hand is in our every day work fo sho and i am loving everyday of my mission XD.

Well, that's all i have to report on this week so peace out till next week XD.

Chapter 59

Happy Monday!!! That's exciting to hear that 2 more mission calls have been received in our stake!!!  There are going to be so many missionaries soon that we might have to get villi to do a part 2 to his eagle project and build another missionary board hahaha.

We had a really good sacrament meeting here in the Shelton ward this week.  One of the speakers talked all about scripture study and the importance of it and how it draws us closer to our savior.  He even used part of my favorite conference talk, A Matter of a Few Degrees by Uchtdorf, in his talk to help explain how when we aren't reading our scriptures, we are starting to progress ever so slightly off the path and getting to that point of just a few degrees off of it, and like Uchtdorf's talk says a few degrees is all it takes sometimes.  But i also like the talk that you guys had in sacrament because service definitely is something that we should all be doing.  You know it's funny how much the mission changes you because i remember how before the mission whenever matt would try and get me to get up on saturday mornings to go and help someone move or clean the church building i never wanted to do it and would drag my feet at the idea, but now as a missionary we are always seeking for service opportunities and ways that we can help in the community and i enjoy doing service now XD.

So things this week were a little slower than usual unfortunately in ririe :(.  Over half of our appointments that we had planned for this week unfortunately had to reschedule on us, even some of our golden investigators that we have :(, but we still were able to have some really amazing lessons with the people we were able to meet with XD.  One of them that we did meet with this week is progressing along really well.  She is going to get baptized on March 2nd and she is super excited for it XD.  OH, so i had a pretty hilarious experience this week....I realized that i have officially adapted into an idahoian hahaha.  So it was saturday around mid-day and me and my companion were outside going to our car and i told him, "Man, it is really hot today!"  Well, when we get into our car i looked at what the temperature really is outside just to see how hot it was and it was only 39 hahahahaha XD.  So i have finally reached the day that i never thought would happen...i am getting hot at 39 hahaha.  It made me start to get worried about how hot i am going to think california is when i come home, even though it will be winter hahahaha XD.

Well, that's all i have to write on this week so i am going to end this email here.  Peace out till next week and love you guys XD.

Chapter 58

First off, that's awesome that Brandon Shamsabadi is going on a mission to Barcelona Spain!!!!!!  He is going to make such a great missionary! And that's super cool that Ashley's Cousin will be coming to this mission.  BEST MISSION EVAH!!!!!!  I will definately have to find him once he gets to the mission!  And Woot! The Aliso Viejo ward is starting to rep on the mission board! Let's keep it going XD.

So to answer your questions i cover the Ririe Stake, in the Ririe stake there are 8 wards, and one of those wards is all the way out in swan valley so we go to swan valley every thursday XD.  It is pretty cool up there and they have alot of cool members.  For p-days we go to the ammon walmart to do our shopping and we do our emails in rigby.  Lately it has been getting warmer here in Ririe so when it is sunny it is starting to feel a little more like summer hahaha.  But it's getting warm enough that it is time to ditch the beanie. which i know will make you happy hahaha, because i don't need it anymore to keep my head warm.  So you will be getting pictures in the future that no longer have my beanie on XD.

So things are going really well for us in Ririe.  Those baptisms that i told you about in the past, we had to move a few of their dates for various reasons, but they are all still super excited to get baptized so expect to hear about 4 baptisms when march comes XD.  We are also finding people every week to start teaching, whether they are less active people or they are non-members, and the work is really going well for us XD.  I love this area soooo much because all of the people we are teaching are amazing and the members here are such a great help to us.  I really hope to stay here for quite a bit longer XD.  Thanks for all the prayers because they are definitely helping and i ask you to continue to keep praying for me to keep finding all these amazing people XD.

Well, that's all i got to say this week so i will end this email here.  Peace out till next week XD.

Chapter 57

Hey Super Bowl Sunday means alot to missionaries.  It means for dinner we are getting alot of pizza and chips and dip and other awesome stuff hahahaha XD.  Ya, our ward mission leader told us that him and his wife weren't planning on just recording the super bowl and then watching it later on in the night so they could fast forward through the game and watch the commercials, so they invited us over to lunch/dinner since they knew everyone else would be watching it.  So we got to have a "Super Bowl Party" without the Super Bowl part.  We had pizza/wings/a bunch of different chip dips/a few other things and it was goooooood hahaha XD.

So i guess it's time to finally answer the BIG question that you are wondering about......Whether or not i am getting transrfered.....I AM STAYING IN RIRIE FOR ANOTHER TRANSFER WOOOOOOOOTTTT!!!!!!! XD.  And I am staying with Elder Quintanilla for another transfer also which we are both super excited for.  XD.  And because i am staying that means that i get to be to see all of our investigators get baptized!!! wooot! XD  January flew by sooooo fast.  I swear, my mission just keeps getting faster and faster as i get farther into it.  Everyone here in Ririe was telling me that once i hit my year mark time really speeds up and man are they right.

Well, that's all i have to really report on this week.  Unfortunately the flu has been hitting Ririe pretty hard lately so alot of our appointments fell through due to them being sick so not much happened this week.  :(  Peace out and cya next week XD.

p.s.  OH SCRATCH NOTHING HAPPENING THIS WEEK! I forgot! XD We were able to finally start meeting with this non-member to begin teaching her the lessons and it's awesome that we got in because i have been trying for the past 5 months or so XD.

Chapter 56

So things are going really well here in Ririe.  This last week we were able to start teaching that other family that i told you about last week, where the wife is a member but the husband isn't.  We had an amazing lesson with them and the husband is super interested and already can recognize that meeting with us and joining the church is something that our heavenly father would have him do! XD.  Infact, he even accepted our invitation to be baptized! XD.  So we now have 4 investigators that we are working with who are working towards a baptismal date goal! XD 3 of those dates are for february and 1 of them is for march XD.  Things are really going well for us here in Ririe and i feel soooo blessed to have this much work and this many investigators XD.  The Lord is definitely in our every day work and i am soooo grateful for his help and the holy ghost working through us XD.

Well, I am going to end my email here so peace out till next week!  Love ya! XD
